Hello and Happy Meatless Monday! How was your weekend? What did you cook and did you try any new recipes? I had a very lovely evening with some of our friends on Saturday night. I also got very excited about Meatless Monday and spent quite a fair bit of time on Pinterest searching for some meatless inspiration.

In the end though, I decided on something basic and staple as I noticed that I needed to use up some Tofu that I had bought. These are firm tofu which is very good for turning into Tofu steaks. I had also bought some Mirin recently so I figured that it would be best to make a Teriyaki Tofu Steaks.

The Tofu is dusted with some corn flour and pan fried before adding in the Teriyaki sauce. Making your own Teriyaki sauce is amazing and tastes much better than store bought ones. For one, its not as sweet! Then again, I may be biased, but why not get a bottle of Mirin and try it for yourself. I will be delighted to hear your views.
